Where Midtown meets Uptown, this location allows for a vibrant lifestyle for those who travel by car or by foot. An abundance of cafe's, restaurants, street food vendors, Upstate films, galleries, thrift shops, collectives, fitness studios, farmers markets make every day living convenient. Also close to 87, the big box stores, and the Rondout. SO much to do. The inside boasts 9 foot ceilings, gorgeous restored historic wide-plank wood floors, decorative molding, hand crafted staircase, stained glass, vintage doors, and curved bay windows. The rooms are all sizable and the flow is perfect. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, butcher block counters, and an eat in kitchen, pantry and back door leading to a porch. Such a classy, stylish, historic home with many recent upgrades, yet still lots of opportunity to make it ones own with additional improvements. The back porch could be enclosed or back of kitchen area could support a half bath, and the backyard is large enough to support an addition if one desired. The historical records of this home show it was once a multi family, but is now a single family. Currently, there is one bathroom functioning on the second floor. However, a third floor bathroom was recently demo'd for a makeover/expansion but the sellers decided to let the new owner choose how to finish it. Plumbing is all ready for new owner. There used to be a third bathroom in the basement at some point, and the remnants of the plumbing still exist. Washer/Dryer are in the basement. Ulster County tax records have the house listed as a 7 bed 3 bath. The third floor rooms do get heat from a wall heating vent. Also, the house used to be heated with oil but they installed a gas furnace that could be hooked up to an air conditioning system. This house and the next door neighbor share the driveway, and cost of plowing and maintaining it. This is in the deed.
