Winvian Farm and Lime Rock Race Track Partner to Launch Women at the Wheel Retreat

Ladies, Start Your Engines....

Winvian Farm, the AAA Five-Diamond hotel in Connecticut's Litchfield Hills, has officially declared 2018 the Year of the Woman, launching the Women at the Wheel program, beginning April 21. Women at the Wheel will showcase a partnership between Winvian Farm and the nearby Lime Rock Park race track in Lakeville. The two-day retreat will include a private, half-day race car driving lesson with one of Lime Rock’s top instructors, most of whom have coached some of the world’s champion racecar drivers.

After a day on the race track, women can enjoy the luxury amenities at the Relais & Chateaux hotel. Guests may select body and facial treatments at the 5,000-square-foot spa, eat in Winvian Farm's award-winning restaurant, relax poolside, or go hiking through the neighboring White Memorial Conservation Center.

Included in the two-day retreat are accommodations in one of Winvian Farm’s 19 accommodations (18 of which are private cottages), one three-course dinner for two, a bottle of champagne upon arrival, and one half-day private racing lesson at Lime Rock Park.

Open Your Eyes Studio Tour!

Open Your Eyes Studio Tour

The Open Your Eyes Studio Tour is coming up again (June 24 & 25)! Each year the Northwest Connecticut Arts Council selects groups of towns within its 25-town service area for a studio tour. This year the tour will cover 32 studios in Sharon, Lakeville, and Salisbury.

The Open Your Eyes Studio Tour shines light on the many artists who live and work in our region. The tour gives the community a greater understanding and appreciation for the arts and the creative process, and it draws attention to the towns in which these artists live and work.

The tour kicks off with a Preview Party (free!) on June 11 from 3-5 pm at the Scoville Memorial Library in Salisbury CT.

The Preview Party is the only time where a sample of the work of each artist on the Tour will be displayed in one location, and most of the artists will be in attendance. To register for the preview party click here.

The Studio Tour is on June 24 & 25 and the entire tour is free! All you need to do is register. When you register you will receive a free tour ticket packet. This packet includes a tour map, directions, after party information, advice on local eateries in the tour towns, and more!

There is also an After Party on June 24 from 5-7 pm. Come and share your impressions of the tour. Tickets are $15.00 a person and help support the tour!

You can find more information on the artists, the preview & after parties, and the tour itself at:
